AIGA Get Out the Vote Campaign Shape the Future
Get Out the Vote is a campaign hosted by AIGA National, whose initiative is to increase civic participation through the power of design.
Shape the Future: For Those Who Can’t, For You, For Them is based for a multitude of audiences. The main audience however is those who think voting does not matter because it does not seem to directly affect them. This audience typically has privilege that enables them to be blind-sided by the various critical issues concerning humanity today. Therefore, if they aren’t doing it for themselves, they ought to be doing it for others–those who are directly affected.
Shape the Future was featured at the 2022 AIGA Design Conference in Seattle, WA.
Additional desk ornaments promoting different attitudes towards voting were created: Fight, Reach, Shout, Peace.
Stickers featuring the different attitudes were used to remind voters of the date and get them excited through organic wiggle-y shapes and bold type.
