REFRAME is a bookazine containing curated articles about artists who, through their practice, are rewriting the narratives around gender-identity and empowerment thereof.
The book is hand sewn together, further emphasizing the hand-crafted and personal nature of the topic and artwork from the featured articles.
The transparency sheets allow the artists’ ideas to be showcased with their work without disturbing it, or throughout their respective articles for emphasis. This method is used with the intention to pace the reader through the bookazine, allowing pause for thought on subjects as valuable as these.
The transparency sheets are also used to highlight the “blurred” nature of identity.
